Hi, I’m Sirak Ghere

A 24 year old filmmaker from Geneva with Eritrean origins. I arrived in Switzerland in 2006, but it was in 2016 that I discovered my passion for imagery while working as a photographer alongside a United Nations photographer. This experience marked the beginning of my artistic journey, allowing me to explore visual creation from various perspectives. In 2017, I organized my first photography exhibition on equality and diversity among young people, which was warmly received, notably by the State Councilor.

I have already directed films, and in the future, I aim to create a feature film where music and imagery complement each other harmoniously, while continuing to bring together talents to create bold and innovative works. My artistic approach, marked by a pursuit of visual beauty and human depth, is coupled with my commitment to supporting young creators.
